The Team
Who We Are
Jared Pulliam
Head Brewer/Owner
Jared started his brewing career with Chocolate City Brewing, the second brewery to open in DC during the aughts, but his love of west coast IPAs kept calling him to learn the Californian way. With a little luck and a heartfelt letter to Tony Magee, an offer to follow his passion and work for Lagunitas came shortly thereafter. So he packed his bags and moved across the country to brew America's best selling IPA. Once he rose the ranks to run their entire production facility, he knew it was time to come back home to apply what he'd learned. While looking for the perfect venue, wanting to see the consumer side of craft beer, he bartended for NRG's premier craft beer bar, ChurchKey. There he got to taste the best and most sought after beers from around the world and mentally dial in his recipes. After over a decade of learning, creating and obsessing, he is excited to finally be able to share his experience and passion with you.
Anne Choe
General Manager/Owner
Anne has been in food/beverage/hospitality since she was 16 but truly fell in love with the industry when she started to work for fine dining steakhouses. This passion evolved into a focus toward beer and wine so she shipped off to wine (and beer) country in Sonoma, CA to work for the girl and the fig under Sondra Bernstein, one of the first pioneers of women restauranteurs and farm to table restaurants. After a couple of years there, inspired by female entrepreneurs and leadership, she was given the opportunity to open a female owned and led craft cocktail bar from the ground up as GM. Once Jared and Anne finally felt ready to open their dream, they came back home to DC. While looking for a venue, she also worked for the Neighborhood Restaurant Group for Bluejacket Brewery and then GM of Iron Gate.
Cody Sanders
Lead Brewer/Partner
Cody started his beer journey at The Terminal, a brewpub in his hometown Chattanooga, TN. Wanting a change of scenery in a larger city, Cody moved to our nation's capital. Knowing he wanted to stay in beer, he worked for ChurchKey where his curiosity grew and he achieved his level 2 Certified Cicerone® Certification. Although he loved the access and ability to taste and learn about the best beers in the world, he became more interested in the art of the production of beer. Willing to start from the bottom, he went to DuClaw in Baltimore as their Cellarman. Once he felt comfortable with the basics of production brewing, he moved onto work for Crooked Run Brewery in Virginia where they were making newer styles. There he quickly rose the ranks to become their lead brewer before he was recruited by Lost Generation Brewing.
